  • 🌿 What is somatic healing, and how does trauma get stored in the body?
    Somatic healing is a body-centered approach that works with physical sensations, nervous system responses, and emotional energy held in the body. When we experience overwhelming events, the body’s survival system may store unprocessed energy—like fear, freeze, or helplessness—because it couldn’t fully discharge at the time. This can manifest later as anxiety, emotional reactivity, tension, or numbness. Somatic healing allows your body to safely complete those responses, bringing relief, regulation, and emotional clarity.
  • 💬 How is somatic healing different from talk therapy, and who is it for?
    Imagine someone describing a lemon: the bright yellow color, the slick skin, the scent as it’s sliced, and finally the taste as it hits your tongue. Without even seeing it, your mouth might start to water or pucker. That’s the body responding—not just the mind understanding. Somatic healing works kind of like the lemon example. Instead of talking about your problems, it helps you listen to your body. It uses things like feelings, images, movement, and energy to help you heal. This kind of healing works with the part of you that holds old emotions, memories, and stress—even if you don’t remember everything. Talk therapy helps you understand your thoughts, feelings, and past by talking things through. It can be very helpful and healing. But somatic healing doesn’t need you to explain anything or even know what’s wrong. You don’t have to talk about the past. This work is for anyone—whether you feel stuck, shut down, overwhelmed, or just want to feel more connected to yourself and your body.
  • 🌸 What is SMGI®, and how is it a somatic healing practice?
    SMGI® (Somatic Mindful Guided Imagery®) is a trauma-informed process that blends guided imagery, inner child work, hypnosis, meditation, parts work, and shamanic tools. It uses the language of the subconscious—images, metaphors, emotions, and physical sensations—rather than words or story. Instead of just talking about what’s wrong, this process helps you gently connect with what your body and inner self are holding. SMGI® supports you in healing stuck patterns, releasing stress or emotional pain, and feeling more whole, calm, and clear from the inside out.
  • 🌀 What happens in an SMGI® session, and will I need to relive trauma?
    Each session begins in a supportive space where I guide you inward using the language of your subconscious. You’ll work with sensations, images, and symbols to gently connect with parts of yourself that are ready to be seen, understood, and integrated. You do not need to relive or recount traumatic events. SMGI® is designed to be gentle, body-led, and emotionally safe—offering deep healing without re-traumatization.
  • ⏳ How many sessions do I need to see results?
    Results vary. Some people feel a shift after just one session. For deeper, long-standing patterns, a series of 3, 6, 9, or 12 sessions is often most effective. Healing unfolds in layers—like peeling an onion—where each session brings you closer to emotional freedom, clarity, and self-trust.

    Yes. SMGI® is a complete and powerful healing modality in its own right. It works directly with the body and subconscious—where trauma, emotion, and stress are often stored—creating real, lasting change from the inside out. You don’t need other modalities for SMGI® to be effective. That said, if you’re currently in therapy, taking medication, or exploring other forms of healing, SMGI® can still fit within your overall journey. It’s not just a helpful add-on—it’s the work that reaches places talk therapy and medication may not fully touch. SMGI® offers a direct path to transformation by gently helping you access, process, and release what’s been held beneath the surface.   • 🧘‍♀️How do I prepare, and what should I expect afterward?
    Before your session: Find a quiet, private space where you feel safe and won’t be disturbed Make sure your internet connection is stable Wear comfortable clothing Have water or tea nearby if you'd like Keep a journal close to capture any insights after the session After your session: You may feel calm, emotional, clear, or deeply relaxed Give yourself time to rest, reflect, or simply be Notice any dreams, emotional shifts, or increased clarity in the following days To support integration: Be gentle with yourself—there’s no need to rush Spend time in nature or engage in gentle movement Revisit any imagery, messages, or sensations that stood out to you Use mindfulness or journaling to deepen the healing Trust your body—your nervous system is adjusting in its own perfect timing
  • ✨ Do I need to believe in spirituality for SMGI® to work?
    No. SMGI® works with your subconscious and body’s wisdom—it doesn’t require any spiritual belief. That said, many people do find the process brings them closer to their own sense of purpose, inner guidance, or connection to something greater.
